Flower Pot Chafing Dish DIY

DIY your own chafing dish with flower pots.


Instructions
  1. Place terra cotta dish where you want your chafing dish to be centered.

  2. Flip the three little pots upside down and place them right up against the dish in a triangle formation.

  3. Fill the terra cotta dish with the glass potting beads.

  4. Place the Sterno can in the center of the dish, right on top of the glass beads. (Do not open the Sterno can, nor light it, until you are ready to heat your dish.)

  5. Place the large terra cotta pot, upside down, balanced over the three little pots and so that the sterno can is in the center. Pry off the lid to the Sterno and light with a match about 10 minutes before you want to put your warm dish on the top.

Instructions
  1. Spray the foam sheet with glue in patches, and apply moss as flat as possible, until completely covered.

  2. Fill flower picks with water and push in a flower heads…

  3. Snip the rubber cap if needed to accommodate a wider stem.

  4. Push the flower picks into the moss covered foam sheet in little bundles. You could make a ‘halo’ around where a person’s head might be, if standing in front for photographs.

  5. Snip bits of the tiny woodsy, wax flowers (leaving a bit of woodsy stem for strength) and push them into the moss covered foam all over.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degress. In a blender or in a food processor, put the olives, olive oil, parsley, capers, and lemon juice. Pulse for 30 seconds, until olive mixture is well combined and chopped. Scoop into a small bowl.

  2. For the spiced pita, in a small bowl, combine the 1/3 cup olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and paprika. Brush spiced olive oil over pita.

  3. Bake pita directly on the rack or on a baking sheet, for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Remove pita, let cool and cut into 8 triangle pieces.

  5. Serve pita along side of the olive tapenade.

Instructions
  1. Line a 9 x 9 in. baking tin with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Combine white chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave at 50 percent power for 1 minute, then stir.

  3. Continue to microwave in 30-second increments at 50 percent power until chocolate is completely melted and the peanut butter is completely incorporated.

  4. Add the pumpkin, spice, and vanilla, and stir to completely combine.

  5. Quickly pour the mixture into the lined baking dish and refrigerate overnight.

  6. Slice the fudge with a sharp knife and enjoy.

Instructions
  1. Split your pancake batter in two, and add 3-4 drops of red food coloring to one half. Mix it well to incorporate the color. If you’d like it more red, add a few more drops.

  2. Make the pancakes according to the recipes instructions. Make an equal amount of red and plain pancakes.

  3. Lay your pancakes on a cutting board, and cut out the centers of the pancakes with the cookie cutter.

  4. Place the red heart cut-outs in the plain pancakes, and the plain hearts in the red pancakes.

  5. Stack your pancakes and enjoy!

  1. Melt yellow and white candy melts, separately, at 50 percent power in the microwave, until completely smooth.

  2. On a parchment-lined baking sheet, spoon mounds of white and yellow candy melts on top of each other, leaving about two inches between each multicolor mound.

  3. Pull the wooden skewer through each mound, to marbleize the melts and create “sunburst” shapes.

  4. Allow the sunburst shapes to dry completely before peeling them from the parchment.

  5. Using a little buttercream, attach the sunbursts onto the iced cake, all the way around.

  6. Create height by pressing more shapes gently into the top of the cake, all the way around.

  1. Chop the turkey, onion, mushrooms and sage finely, then sauté them in a pan with a couple of tablespoons of oil until onion is tender and translucent. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow the mixture to cool.

  2. Add the shredded cheese to the turkey mixture.

  3. Place 1 tablespoon of filling down the center of the tortilla and roll the tortilla tightly. Secure it shut with two toothpicks. Repeat with remaining tortillas.

  4. Heat the oil to 350 degrees in a thick-bottomed, straight-sided pot.

  5. Fry the taquitos until golden brown, about 3 minutes and place them on a paper towel to drain. Serve hot!

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F.

  2. Cream together sugar, butter, and egg.

  3. Mix in alternately to sugar mixture the milk and dry ingredients. (Start with about 1/3 milk then 1/2 of dry ingredients which have been combined together, then 1/3 milk and then rest of dry ingredients and then finish with remaining milk.)

  4. Fold in gently blueberries.

  5. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
