Cinco de Mayo: Decorate with Flowers and Food
T-minus 2 days until the beautiful and bright celebration of Mexican heritage and pride commences! This holiday is greeted with bold and bright colors, spicy foods and fun drinks, lots of dancing, and festive music. With all the spring flowers popping up it is easy to bring more life to the celebration with colorful and very simple decor! And, these ideas hit another cylinder as well because we are reusing materials. We love when that happens!
So, grab any of your favorite, bold flowers and when you’re done with the food prep you’ll have instant vases!
When you peruse through the aisles of the grocery store for your ingredients keep in mind the packaging of the canned goods. Reuse the bean, tomato, and chili pepper cans as vases!
When you’re done mixing up the margaritas save the tequila bottles, rinse, and fill with flowers.
And, if you want to spice up the decor a little differently this year. Try using the colorful veggies! Pile in all your favorite, fresh foods, especially the chili pepers.
It’s the season of fresh colors so let them shine! Bring them in from the garden and use everyday items in a new way. Happy almost Cinco de Mayo!
