Simple Easter Garland

For all the reasons I love finding fun ways to use glass jars, I love using paint chips in crafty ways. I’ve tackled my fair share of home improvement projects and whenever I’m in the hardware store I’m instantly drawn to the paint section. With all the dust and grit that goes into a renovation project, the bright rainbow of paint chips is such a cheerful site.

I was thrilled to see this clever Easter garland that uses just 2 materials- paint chips and string. A simple project that will add a quick punch of color to any room (via Modern Parents Messy Kids)…

Paint Chip Easter Garland

What you’ll need…
Paint chips in a rainbow of springtime colors (use the rectangular chips shown here to get the line down the center of the egg)
String
Small hole punch
Scissors
Pencil

Get started…

1.  Cut your paint chip in half so that each egg-shaped oval you trace has a white line down its center.
2.  Trace an egg shape onto each half of the paint chip.
3.  Cut out the ovals and punch two small holes at the top.
4.  Thread string from the back to the front and back again, weaving each oval together to create the garland.

To Katie Brown, We purchased the Katie Brown Orchard Collection Wood Patio Table with padded wicker chairs and bench. Wanted to know if eucalyptus hardwood should be oiled or waxed to preserve. If so, what is recommended? Thank you!
