A Hangover Cure recipe part 1 of 4

Store-bought Pedialyte replaces minerals and fluids that are lost when the body is dehydrated, and when you’re hungover, you are most certainly dehydrated. Whether you’re vomiting or not, your body needs some serious replenishing.
This homemade substitute uses coconut water, which replenishes electrolytes and soothes nausea; cranberry juice, which is rich in antioxidants, and salt, which replaces the essential salt your body has lost when dehydrated. Bonus? No artificial preservatives, colors, or sweeteners.

Instructions
  1. Open the Mason jars and drizzle translucent glass paint in spots on the inside of the jars. Turn the jars as they are drying, to create fun shapes, then let them dry.

  2. Punch holes around the center of the lids for ventilation. It is very important or the glasses can become too hot from the light bulbs.

  3. Cut an asterisk in the center of each lid with a utility knife. Use the fat pen to push through the asterisk towards the inside of the jars. (Do not cut it too big, try to keep it as small as possible and the wedge socket in.)

  4. Hold the lid frame and lid center together as if to put it on the jar, and from the top push the light socket through the asterisk-shaped opening. Push the bits of lid inside tightly around the socket to help hold it in place. Screw in a light bulb.

  5. Screw the lid with the bulb to the jar.

  6. Continue with each light socket in the same manner.

  7. Tear small strips of gray duct tape and tape down the socket to the top of the lid.

You may be asking yourself, “Has the bacon craze gone too far?” Well, we answer you with a resounding no! You’ll want to put this wickedly delicious spread on everything … absolutely everything. We suggest spreading it over your baked sweet potatoes, adding it to the inside of a baked Brie, or simply serving it with a really good aged sharp Cheddar.

Instructions
  1. . Cook your bacon until crispy, and remove it from the pan onto a paper towel to drain. Reserve about 2 tablespoons of fat in the pan.

  2. 2. Slice your onion finely, add it to the greased pan, and sauté over medium heat until softened.

  3. 3. Chop the garlic cloves and add them to the pan, sautéing a further minute.

  4. 4. Add apple cider vinegar and cook until slightly evaporated.

  5. 5. Add remaining ingredients and combine well.

  6. 6. Crumble in the crisped bacon, stir to combine, and simmer for 45 minutes or until the liquid has become syrupy (this may take as long as an hour).

  7. 7. Pour the mixture into a food processor and pulse until it is spreadable but not entirely smooth — you want a little texture, and the occasional piece of bacon for some crunch.

  8. 8. Place the jam in a jar and label it. Keep refrigerated, and bring desired amount to room temperature before spreading it on absolutely everything!
