Pecan Buddies

INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons water
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1 cup powdered sugar

GET COOKIN'

1. Preheat oven to 325º F.
2. Cream butter and sugar.
3. Add water and vanilla mix well.
4. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt and mix into butter mixture. Fold in pecans.
5. Cover and chill for 4 hours.
6. Roll dough into 3/4-inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
7. Cool 2-3 minutes on cookie sheet. Transfer to plate and sift powdered sugar on top of cookies.
