Cinco de Mayo: Cinco Margaritas

Whether you’re hosting a Cinco de Mayo party or just partaking in the festivities with a few friends make sure you’re sippin’ on something delicious. Since it’s the 5th of May we are giving you 5 delicious twists to the traditional margarita, none of which include margarita mix!

We’ve got a margarita method that will make you feel more like a hostess and less like a bartender. Make a large amount of the basic margarita 1 day before and chill it in the fridge overnight. On the day of, divide the margaritas into separate pitchers and add your add-ins!

We prefer to serve all drinks on the rocks and avoid the blended ones. You don’t want to be tied to your blender all day! Mingle with a margarita in hand.

Ahhh, Ms. Brown to save the day! I’m having several friends and co-workers from Dish over tomorrow for a Cinco de Mayo party. I have the snacks down, and for entertainment, I’ve ordered the Mayweather vs. Cotto fight in HD. These margaritas seem much more festive than plain beer and Kool-aid, and I think they’ll set the perfect party mood. This will be the first time that the hubby and I get to show off our new HDTV, and we thought there would be no better way than ordering the biggest fight of the year in HD on one of the best holidays of the year. Thanks again!
