Roasted & Spiced Mixed Nuts

SERVES 8

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

GET COOKIN'

  1. Preheat oven to 300º F.
  2. Combine all nuts and seeds in a large bowl. Toss with the olive oil and melted butter, salt, cayenne and garlic powder.
  3. Spread the seasoned mixture on a cookie sheet and roast for 20 –25 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Remove from oven. Let cool on a rack and serve.
