The Bedford Post
William and I just had the chance for a get-away at the Bedford Post, which is Richard Gere, Carey Lowell, and Russell Hernandez’s new Bed and Breakfast-styled Inn in Bedford, NY. I must say it was a welcome rest. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had a great summer with the girls, but a little time away from diapers and tooth fairies can get to be pretty necessary. So the beautiful accommodations and excellent food at the Bedford Post were just what the doctor ordered.
They’ve got bed, they’ve got breakfast, they’ve got a stone path and climbing plants….
The food was really, really good. In the evening, we even saw Henry and Nancy Kissinger enjoying the fare.
I kid you not- these sticky buns were the best I’ve ever had, ever.
If you ever get a chance to visit, I highly recommend the Bedford Post. It was peaceful, quiet, and tasteful to the smallest detail. Seriously, how often do you find a bouquet like this in the bathroom, of all places?
i can’t tell you how many times i go by The Bedford Post, drive into The BPost’s parking lot, go for looooong walks with friends that bring us past it but fail to go in because i’ve heard one too many stories about how difficult their out of town clientele can be to relax & dine beside…however, your endorsement along with the scrumptuous photos having me looking forward to tryign it out this weekend…
