Simply Ornaments
Over the weekend my family and I took a field trip to a local tree farm for one of my favorite holiday events…Christmas tree shopping! This year was especially fun because big sister Prentiss got to lead little Meredith around the rows of trees and explain to her how to pick the perfect one (6-year old wisdom is the best!).
New England has such a variety of evergreens native to its soils…Cedar, Pines, Spruces- they’ve got ’em all. Walking around the farm and taking in the yummy pine smells got me thinking about how I’m going to decorate the tree this year. I’ve decided to try some new DIY ornaments that I’ve spotted online.
Homemade ornaments are great presents for grandparents, neighbors or teachers- and make sure you save some for your tree, too! Your kids will be proud to hang up their creations for all to see, for years to come.

And by the way! We picked out a lovely Balsam Fir AND got it set up in our tree stand. Not too big, just a little slanted…I consider it a success!
Hi Katie, I am the newest and biggest fan of the line that you sell at Meijer. Not only do I love the housewares, but your Christmas decorations are the Cutest!!! I bought several ornament and I blogged about them today. Go check it out.
They are Darling, and I want the all!!!
