Simple Wildflowers

Fancy flower arrangements never seem to strike me as much as a simple bouquet of one or two types of flowers. And nothing brings me a smile more than having one of my daughters present me with a grouping of dandelions, grass and the occasional wildflower from the backyard.

A bouquet doesn’t have to come from a floral shop to be a welcome addition to my window sill, tabletop or nightstand. Take the ever-present Queen Anne’s Lace. You can find it in almost any patch of green space in the city or the country, and it makes such a delicate and whimsical bouquet.

Throw in a few bold cosmos and you have a vase fit for a painting…even if that vase may just be a mason jar!
