Chocolate Chunks

Makes one 9" x 9" pan
Serves 6


  • Two 6-ounce packages of Bakers bittersweet chocolate
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios
  • 1 cup dried tart cherries


  1. In a large microwave proof bowl, combine chocolate, milk, butter, and salt. Place bowl in microwave and heat on high for 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir with a whisk until all chocolate is melted and everything is combined and smooth. If chocolate is not completely melted after stirring, return to microwave for one minute and repeat step.
  2. Stir in pistachios and cherries. Line the bottom and top of a 9" x 9"- inch pan with plastic wrap. Pour chocolate mixture into pan, scrape excess from bowl, and smooth out evenly in pan. Refrigerate until firm about or about one hour.
  3. Remove pan from refrigerator and invert onto cutting board. Remove plastic and cut chocolate with a knife into desired shape and size. Serve at room temperature.
