Chocolate Chunks
Makes one 9" x 9" pan
Serves 6
INGREDIENTS
- Two 6-ounce packages of Bakers bittersweet chocolate
- ½ cup whole milk
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shelled pistachios
- 1 cup dried tart cherries
GET COOKIN'
- In a large microwave proof bowl, combine chocolate, milk, butter, and salt. Place bowl in microwave and heat on high for 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir with a whisk until all chocolate is melted and everything is combined and smooth. If chocolate is not completely melted after stirring, return to microwave for one minute and repeat step.
- Stir in pistachios and cherries. Line the bottom and top of a 9" x 9"- inch pan with plastic wrap. Pour chocolate mixture into pan, scrape excess from bowl, and smooth out evenly in pan. Refrigerate until firm about or about one hour.
- Remove pan from refrigerator and invert onto cutting board. Remove plastic and cut chocolate with a knife into desired shape and size. Serve at room temperature.
