The Fourth of July

I love the 4th! It’s so nice to think that the entire country- and that’s a LOT of people- is taking some time off to celebrate.  This year I went with my family to Coney Island for the day.  It was incredibly fun.  Coney Island is on the edge of Brooklyn, NY, so it’s right along the beach, and all the old rides and carnival attractions give it some real character.

I don’t even know what you’d call these, but it sure was a fun ride!

The Ferris wheel was huge and beautiful, but I have to admit I was a little scared to go on it- that didn’t stop Prentiss from thinking it was the best thing ever!
