Simple Collections

I love a collection. One of the easiest ways to add interest to any room is to put together a collection- big or small- of quirky objects. As an avid thrift store, flea market and garage sale shopper, I’m fascinated with finding little kitschy things that I can arrange on a shelf in interesting ways.

An easy way to display a collection of small objects is to frame them! If you take a shadow box, secure the objects to the back mat and write a few descriptive words underneath, you’ll have an instant conversation starter and unique piece of art. Think about the things you can use: feathers, shells, pressed leaves and flowers, toy cars, spoons…the list goes on…
