Nautical Labor Day Centerpieces

This summer my family and I got to spend a lot of time at our home in Amagansett, NY. We had such fun, but it’s time we packed our bags and headed inland.

This weekend, we’re going to celebrate the beachy lifestyle one last time with a nautical-themed Labor Day picnic! We’re keeping it casual, but I want a special (easy!) nautical centerpiece for our patio table. Which one should I put together?

Wrap a piece of cotton rope a few times around the base of cylindrical vases. Use food coloring to dye water and sink blooms of your favorite flower inside the vases. Photo by: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images North America

Fill sand halfway up glass bottles with rubber stoppers, then tie with a red and white-striped butcher's twine. Bonus points for an anchor charm! Cluster around serving areas or down the center of your table. Photo by: Hartz Photographic

A simple galvanized bucket makes a simple all-white bouquet look nautical. Tie a navy ribbon around the tub for extra flair. Photo by: Melanie Segal

Layer blue pebbles from a craft supply store and larger white stones in a glass vase. Stick a candle in the stones or enjoy all on its own! Photo by: Jennifer Sbranti

Which one would YOU make for a nautical Labor Day party? Tell me right here!
