Simple Patriotic Centerpieces

Patriotism trumps all this weekend, so make sure your centerpieces get in on the red, white and blue festivity, too! If it’s a challenge to find red, white and blue flowers, then think about how to make the container patriotic. Reuse a red colander in a creative way, fill up a glass vase with colorful candies and beads, or turn a kitchen towel into a plant hanger.

Just go with the casual vibe of barbecues, patio parties and parades. It doesn’t take much time time or supplies to make these fun Memorial Day centerpieces with flowers and candles. Click the photos for further direction…

Fill a glass vase or cup with red beads. Set a small votive (in a glass container) in the beads and add a decorative star for fun.

Shop your kitchen cabinets for a red, white or blue container for flowers.

A kitchen towel, plastic bag and stapler can make a festive flower hanger!

Red, white and blue candies hold up flags of various sizes.

Pick out some pretty ribbon and wrap pieces around a glass vase, adhering with double-stick tape.
