Pinecone Table Runner

MATERIALS

  • Green fabric
  • Stitch Witchery
  • Floral wire
  • Green wire edge ribbon
  • Pinecones
  • Ruler
  • Chalk
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun
  • Iron

DIRECTIONS

  1. Measure tabletop. Cut fabric 18 inches wide and 3 feet longer than your tabletop.

  2. Lay fabric face down.

  3. Fold both long sides in one inch. Iron to crease. Insert Stitch Witchery into fold and re-iron the fabric to create seam. It is best to let the Stitch Witchery cool for a few minutes between steps.

  4. Fold the cloth in half lengthwise and use a ruler to draw a triangle on the edge of the fabric.

  5. Cut triangle and open fabric. Cut a small slit into the point of the triangle and fold exposed edges. Insert Stitch Witchery and iron to create seam.

  6. Wrap floral wire around large end of pinecone, leaving a few inches to come out at the top. Attach the pinecone to the end of the runner by gluing the wire to the back of a point of the fabric.

  7. Tie a bow around the wire with a decorative ribbon and repeat on remaining points of the runner.

  8. Another piece of wire can be used to center the pinecone at the points if necessary.
