MATERIALS

  • Planter and soil
  • Hand shovel
  • Scissors
  • Clippers
  • Folding trellis
  • Kitchen twine
  • Clothespins
  • Lavender
  • Chamomile
  • Stevia
  • Mint
  • Lemon thyme
  • Lemon balm
  • Bee balm
  • Sweet marjoram

DIRECTIONS

  1. Using an herb plant in a biodegradable peat pot, dig a hole in your planter just big enough for the pot. Break apart the bottom of the peat pot, tickle the roots and bury in the hole you have dug. Repeat with each herb plant you have. Water plants directly after.

  2. Set up your small trellis in the planter. When you are ready to create an herbal blend, clip the leaves of your herbs and tie the stems with kitchen twine. Tie the tail of the kitchen twine to the trellis and clip with a clothespin. Keep the herbs hanging until they have dried and you can use a loose-leaf tea strainer to make soothing herbal tea.
