Jackson Pollock Inspired Candle Arrangements

MATERIALS

  • Red, white, and blue candles in clear glass
  • Red, white, and blue Plasti Dip
  • Straw wreaths
  • Ribbon
  • Newspaper
  • Paint brushes
  • Hot glue
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS

  1. For the candles: Find a well-ventilated space and cover it with newspaper.

  2. Pick out a Plasti Dip color to use on a candle and shake the can for about 10 seconds. Open the can of Plasti Dip and dip the paintbrush into the mixture. Be sure to get a generous amount on the brush. Lightly throw the Plasti Dip onto the candle with a quick downward motion of the brush.

  3. Repeat with other colors and candles. Allow about a half of an hour for the Plasti Dip to dry.

  4. For the wreaths: Cut a few feet of ribbon, depending on the size of the wreath.

  5. Use a dab of hot glue to hold the end of the ribbon in place and wrap the ribbon around the wreath, leaving parts of the straw to show through.

  6. When you get back to the beginning of the ribbon, tuck in the end, and hot glue it into place.

  7. Lay the wreaths down flat on the table and arrange the candles in the center.
