Floral Fabric Hoops

MATERIALS

  • Floral fabrics
  • Glue
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS

  1. Lay the hoop on top of the part of the fabric that you want to show off.

  2. Separate the two sides of the embroidery hoop and lay your fabric on top. Do this before cutting the circle so that the fabric does not fall through the circle.

  3. Press outside hoop onto the fabric covered ring tight enough to prevent the fabric from bowing in the middle. Don’t loosen the hoop’s screw too much because you want it to hold the fabric as taut as possible.

  4. Cut the fabric around the hoop about 1/2 inch wider than the embroidery circle.

  5. Glue the edges of the fabric to the inside of the hoop.

HINTS & CLUES

  • The Big Idea: Working in multiples is a great design technique. So, for this project we suggest you do a grouping of several hoops on one wall.
