Simply Knotted

If you’re anything like me, you probably have accumulated somewhere around a one to four thousand silk scarves in your closet! OK – so I’m over exaggerating the numbers – but I do have a lot of them!  I try to make use of the ones that I have by tying them in my hair or around my neck – but there are only so many things you can do with a printed square of fabric. However, just recently I discovered another use for my scarves – turning them into a handbag! It’s so simple and easy – and you can tie just about anything into them! Wrap your wallet, make up, and books — you can even use them to wrap gifts or wine bottles! See the step by step instructions below to learn how you can turn your silk scarves into unique handbags!

1. Take a square scarf and spread it out onto a flat surface. Place contents in the middle.

2. Take two diagonal pieces and tie them into a knot.

3. Take the other diagonal pieces and tie a knot on top of the knot you made in Step 2.

4. Take the diagonals from Step 2 and tie a knot with the top ends of those pieces.

5. Voila! You're done!
