One of our favorite activities for May is mushroom hunting! I know Northern Michiganders are heading out into the woods searching in valleys and around fallen trees for one of the most delicious offerings of the season, the Morel. The complex and rich flavor makes both meat and vegetable dishes into something special. Whether you come across Morels in the forest, the grocery store, or even online (dehydrated mushrooms can be delivered right to you), here are a few recipes that show off their flavor. Morels can be pricey; to cut cost trying using a few and fill in with less expensive mushrooms which will take on some of the flavor.
