  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 6 6-ounce cuts of filet mignon
  • Salt
  • Coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 4 cloves crushed garlic
  • 3 sprigs of thyme
  • 3 sprigs rosemary

MUSHROOM TOPPING

  • 3 cups quartered shitake mushrooms (stems removed)
  • 3 cups quartered crimini mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons sherry vinegar
  • 5 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
