Materials

Pieces of red and white fabrics
Several pieces of raffia wire

Tools

Pinking shears
Hot glue gun
Wire clippers
Burnishing tool with letter attachments

Getting Started

1. Using pinking shears, cut the fabric into leaf shapes. (If using burlap, it’s great to fray the edges.)
2. Cut a small piece of raffia wire and attach it to the center of the leaf using hot glue. Attach raffia to front or back of leaf depending on your preference.
3. Trim the raffia wire using wire clippers and press leaf down into the top of the apple.
4. Attach your letter of choice to the burnishing tool and let it heat up. After it has heated up to a high temperature, brand the apple by stamping into the apple and gently rocking back and forth.
