Intro

• Red-leaf lettuce: Make sure you don’t have many dead leaves around edges. Ensure majority of plant is healthy. Lettuce prefers a bit colder – leave it in partial shade.
• Always till your soil and use compost to add nutrients to soil!
• Ensure soil is loose around the area where you’re going to plant. Dig deep around your center point where you’re going to plant. Break up the bottom of the root system of your plant, and push soil in around the base of the plant.
• Plant lettuce about 18-24 inches apart.
